I just had a meeting with a director from another department in my office. Halfway through the meeting she offered to show me some data and needed a web browser to login to the system. At the time I still had the page above open in my browser so I popped open a new window, turned the screen around and let her work. After she was done, she went to close the window and all I could think of was, "Damnit, now she'll see I screw off at work looking at car sites." Instead she says, "Oh, Jalopnik. Always good." Then we proceed to talk Corvettes (her dad has two), F1 (we both know people on teams), and 24hrs of LeMons (she's jealous I'm racing this weekend).

Sometimes it's okay that you look at car stuff at work. Made a new car friend because of it.

It amazes me how few people I know that know this website and actually visit it. It's probably like 4, including my dad because I send him links all the time.

Several weeks ago our entire system got changed to a cloud based client-server set up. I had a question for our IT guy and he started his explanation by saying, "I know you're a car guy..." I was a little creeped out.

Hell yeah! My manager started reading this site after I sent him an article about Porsche 928s on here. Ever since, one of us will being up an article, joke, or review on here in the middle of some meeting, and get a good laugh or conversation about it, while no one else in the room has no clue what we're talking about.

Makes for good times!

With that said, is that director single? Can you give her my number? :D
